How Valorant Matches Work
Valorant is Riot Games’ tactical shooter built around two five-player teams, selected agents and a Spike objective. Attackers aim to plant the Spike, while defenders stop the plant or defuse it. A standard competitive match uses first-to-13 rounds, with credits earned each round to buy weapons, shields and abilities. That economy makes each decision matter: saving equipment can shape the next round
as much as a direct engagement.
